something that i found interesting is that the size and prominence of the Armenian diaspora in the Los Angeles area resulted in the mayor’s office issuing a statement about standing with the people of Armenia and a few weeks ago city hall was lit up with the colors of the Armenian flag and I find that interesting since you dont usually see municipalities even major ones issue formal declarations about international politics

more often than you’d think actually, it just never makes the news since no one gives a shit. a number of cities with large armenian populations (and some without? idk about milan) have already passed resolutions “recognising” artsakh’s independence
